Rules for classification: 1) Points; 2) Head-to-head points; 3) Head-to-head goal difference; 4) Head-to-head goals scored; 5) Goal difference; 6) Goals scored; 7) Play-off.[59]
(R) Relegated; (T) Qualified, but not yet to the particular phase indicated.
Notes:
  1. 1 2 3 Since the remaining teams of the 2015–16 Turkish Cup (Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray) are either ineligible for UEFA club competitions or assured of top two, the third-placed team qualifies for the Europa League group stage and the other spots are adjusted accordingly. This means that the fourth-placed team qualifies for the Europa League third qualifying round and the fifth-placed team qualifies for the Europa League second qualifying round.
  2. On 3 March 2016, the Adjudicatory Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) announced that Galatasaray will be excluded from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which they would otherwise qualify in the next two (2) seasons (i.e. the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons).[58]
