The 2015–16 season will be Cardiff City's 118th season in their existence and the 89th in the Football League.[1] Along with competing in the Championship or the Premier League depending on the previous season's results, the club will also participate in the FA Cup and League Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017.

Competitions

EFL Championship

The fixtures will be released on 22 June 2016, with the season starting on 6 August 2016 finishing on 6 May 2017, with the play-offs to follow.[2]

FA Cup

Cardiff will enter the competition in the 3rd round, due to their place in the Championship, which will take place in January 2017.

League Cup

The first round of the League Cup will take place on 8 August 2016.[2]
