Barzago is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northeast of Milan and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) southwest of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,538 and an area of 3.6 square kilometres (1.4 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Barzago contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Verdegò and Bevera.
Barzago borders the following municipalities: Barzanò, Bulciago, Castello di Brianza, Cremella, Dolzago, Garbagnate Monastero, Sirone, Sirtori.
