Canale is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) southeast of Turin and about 60 kilometres (37 mi) northeast of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,544 and an area of 18.0 square kilometres (6.9 sq mi).[1]
Canale borders the following municipalities: Castellinaldo, Cisterna d'Asti, Montà, Monteu Roero, Priocca, San Damiano d'Asti, Santo Stefano Roero, and Vezza d'Alba.
