In the winter of 2001 Elton John set out on the road with Billy Joel again with their very popular Face to Face concert series.[1][2] The tour started in Honolulu, Hawaii (somewhere Elton and Billy had not performed together before).[3] This first leg of the tour came to close with a two date stint at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise on 17 and 18 February.[4]

Elton and Billy then picked up the tour again on 9 April in Denver, Colorado[5] and the 2001 performances came to a close with a two night stint at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota[6] on 15 and 16 May.

Elton and Billy would perform the 'Face To Face' concerts again next time, the following year.[7] Joel stated in 2012 that he would no longer tour with Elton because it restrains his setlists.[8][9]
