Japan–Paraguay relations are foreign relations between Japan and Paraguay. Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1919. Japan has an embassy in Asuncion.[1] Paraguay has an embassy in Tokyo.[2]

The bilateral relations were suspended during World War II, but in 1959 they were restored.

There are around 7,000 Paraguayans who are of Japanese descent, whose ancestors came to Paraguay between 1936 and 1959.

Both countries are full members of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization.
