Kennard Backman (born February 26, 1993) is an American football tight end for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UAB.[1][2][3][4]
College Career
In four years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Backman recorded 96 receptions for 979 yards and nine touchdowns.[5]
Professional Career
Backman was picked 213th overall in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Packers.
Draft
The tight end was the first at his position and only the twelfth player from his alma mater to be drafted in the NFL. He was the first UAB player that the Packers drafted.[6]
2015 Season
In his rookie season of 2015, he played in seven games but did not catch a ball.[7]
