Trevor Davis (born July 4, 1993) is an American football wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at California.
College career
Davis spent the first two years of his college career at Hawaii, totaling 45 receptions for 601 yards and five touchdowns. After his sophomore season, he transferred to California.At California, Davis was one of the main targets for 2016 number-one pick Jared Goff. In his final two seasons, he racked up 64 receptions for 971 yards and seven touchdowns. He also started returning kicks at California, returning two kicks for touchdowns in his junior year, leading the NCAA.[1]
Professional Career
Pre-Draft
Davis timed in at 4.42 in the 40-yard dash at the 2016 NFL combine, third among players in his position group.
Draft
Davis was picked in the fifth found of the 2016 NFL draft (163rd overall) by the Packers. Packers executive Eliot Wolf stated that a main reason for the pick was Davis' speed.[2]
