Lacchiarella is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 22 kilometres (14 mi) south of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,542 and an area of 24.2 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Lacchiarella contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Casirate Olona, Villamaggiore, and Mettone.
Lacchiarella borders the following municipalities: Zibido San Giacomo, Pieve Emanuele, Basiglio, Binasco, Siziano, Casarile, Vidigulfo, Giussago.
It is served by Villamaggiore railway station.
