Career highlights

Luke Brown (born 22 September 1992) is a professional Australian rules football player who plays for the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was first recruited by incoming club Greater Western Sydney as a pre-selection and was then traded to Adelaide during the 2011 trade week.[1]

AFL career

Brown made his debut in round 16, 2012, against Greater Western Sydney at Skoda Stadium.[2] He played just three games in 2012, but in 2013 he stepped up, playing 21 of a possible 22 games as a negating small defender.[3] In round 23, Brown was nominated for the 2013 AFL Rising Star award.[4]

Brown continued to impress in 2014, playing every match of the season and keeping his opponents, some of the most dangerous small forwards in the competition, to an average of one goal per game.[3]
