Luvinate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northwest of Milan and about 5 kilometres (3 mi) northwest of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,389 and an area of 4.2 square kilometres (1.6 sq mi).[1]
