Montegrino Valtravaglia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 110 kilometres (68 mi) northwest of Milan and about 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,253 and an area of 10.3 square kilometres (4.0 sq mi).[1]
