Pavitra Rishta is the love story of a couple, Manav (Sushant Singh Rajput / Hiten Tejwani) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande), also focusing on their families living in Mumbai. After a generation leap of 18 years, the story focuses on their adopted daughter Purvi (Asha Negi) who falls in love with Manav's friend and business partner Digvijay Kirloskar's son Arjun Kirloskar (Rithvik Dhanjani). The story also shows that Manav and Archana's own daughter Ovi (Shruti Kanwar) is also in love with Arjun but Arjun loves Purvi thereby showing a love triangle. It also focuses on how Archana and Manav find their long lost son Soham (Ankit Narang) and reform him. The show takes a generation leap of 20 years yet again and focuses on Soham's daughter and Archana and Manav's granddaughter Ankita (Ankita Lokhande), exact replica of Archana who is married to Naren Karmarkar (Karan Mehra) who loves Ahaana aka Pari (Ruhee Bagga) (daughter of Purvi and Arjun) again showing a love triangle. Naren divorces Ankita and marries Pari. After a 5-year leap Naren discovers that Arushi is his and Ankita's daughter. Naren being tired of Pari's constant planning against Ankita divorces Pari.
