Neirone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region Liguria, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 985 and an area of 29.6 square kilometres (11.4 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Neirone contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Acqua di Ognio, Corsiglia, Lezzaruole, Ognio, Roccatagliata, and San Marco D'Urri.
Neirone borders the following municipalities: Favale di Malvaro, Lorsica, Lumarzo, Mocònesi, Torriglia, Tribogna, Uscio.
