Pilar is a fourth income class municipality in the province of Bohol, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 26,887.[3] In the 2013 election, it had 15,784 registered voters.[4]

History
Pilar was formerly a barrio of Sierra Bullones, known as Lungsodaan. It became a separate municipality on December 29, 1961, by Executive Order No. 460 issued by President Carlos P. Garcia.[5]
