Sony Entertainment Television or SET, is a Hindi-language based general entertainment television channel in Indian Subcontinent. It was launched in October 1995 and is owned by Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt. Ltd. (formerly MSM), a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment. The network carried C.I.D. and Kaun Banega Crorepati.[1]

Sony is available in HD on DishTV, Tata Sky, Videocon d2h, Airtel digital TV, Dish Home (Nepal) and Fastway Cable.[2] It was launched on 28 May 2012.
Programming
SET's programming is targeted towards family audiences. The programming covers genres including drama, reality, comedy, thriller, horror, Bollywood, and live events
In October 2011, Sony Entertainment Television had risen to the number 2 ranking position for six weeks, due in part to the ratings of Kaun Banega Crorepati.[3]
At present SET is broadcasting 9 shows.

2. The Kapil Sharma Show - Show Starrers Funnyman Kapil Sharma ,Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Ali Asgar, Sumona Chakravorthy and Chandan Prabhkar
3. Ek Duje Ke Vaaste - A story on childhood friends Shravan & Suman
4. Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi - The show explores work in progress relationship of Dev and Sonakshi.
5. Parvarish Season 2 - Second season of Parvarish
6. Suryaputra Karn - the story of Mahabharata’s unsung hero Karn, who changes the tide of destiny
7. Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanumaan - Show based on Hanumaan, the first super hero of mankind
8. Crime Patrol Satark - A reality Document aimed at crime prevention by recreating a dramatized version of real life cases
9. CID - A Suspense & thriller drama in the crime fiction genre.
