Sadasivpet or Sadashivapet is a town and a municipality in Medak district in the Indian state of Telangana.[1]

It is part of Sangareddy Assembly Constituency and Medak Loksabha Constituency. Chinta Prabhakar of TRS Party is present MLA of Sangareddy Assembly Constituency.

Geography

Sadasivpet is located at 17°37′00″N 77°57′00″E / 17.6167°N 77.9500°E / 17.6167; 77.9500.[2] It has an average elevation of 534 meters (1755 feet). From Sadasivpet to Hyderabad 65 km, Vikarabad 36 km, Sadasivpet Road Railway Station 18 km,Bidar 69 km, Zahirabad 36 km,Gulbarga 154 km,SangaReddy 20 km.

Masjid e Sarai also known as Jama Masjid one of the oldest mosque of the town. Water Tank near Govt college is the landmark of Sadasivpet. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba Temple 1 km from Sadasivpet at Vikarabad Road. Ayyappa Swamy Temple on highway, Sri Shambulingeshwara Swamy temple at Atmakur 6 km Sri Eshwar mandir at old street. Two movie theatres jyothi 70mm and maheshwari 70mm (located near andhra bank) exists beside highway It is considered as one of the largest and fast growing towns in India.

As of 2001 India census,[3] Sadasivpet had a population of 35,475. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Sadasivpet has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 54%. In Sadasivpet, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. As of 2011 census, Sadasivpet population is 80000.
