Sichuan Lantian Helicopter Company Limited
Sichuan Lantian Helicopter Company Limited (Chinese: 四川蓝天直升机有限公司) is an aeronautics company based in Chengdu in Sichuan province, China. It is a joint venture between Russia's Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and China's Lantian Helicopter Company Limited.
Founded in 2007, the company's production facility is the 5701 Factory.
Products
SLHCL is a licensee of the Mil Mi-17 transport helicopter starting in 2008 for 20 kits sold by Mil.[1] The Mi-17 are being marketed to countries in Africa and Asia (Pakistan) with direct completion with the original Russian model. In future all Mi-17 will also be built by SLHCL (Mi-171, Mi-17V5, and Mi-17V7) once Mil stops domestic production and tool up for the successor to the Mi17, Mil Mi-38.
