The South Florida Gold are an expansion team in the American Basketball Association based in Coral Springs, Florida that will begin play in the 2013-14 ABA season.
As of March 9, 2014, the Gold have appeared on the league's rankings at #3, putting them just behind the Jacksonville Giants and the Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks.[1]
The team was found in an audit by Palm Beach County school district of posing under two different charities to get reduced rent for gym rental during the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons. [2] [3]
