Sviny is a village and municipality (obec) in Tábor District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 11.23 square kilometres (4.34 sq mi), and has a population of 317 (as at 28 August 2006).
Sviny lies approximately 26 kilometres (16 mi) south of Tábor, 27 km (17 mi) north-east of České Budějovice, and 102 km (63 mi) south of Prague.
