Týnec is a village and municipality (obec) in Klatovy District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 7.48 square kilometres (2.89 sq mi), and has a population of 324 (as at 31 December 2007).
Týnec lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south of Klatovy, 46 km (29 mi) south of Plzeň, and 117 km (73 mi) south-west of Prague.
