WAYC-FM (originally 107.5 mHz, later 100.9 FM) is an adult contemporary music formatted radio station in the Bedford, Pennsylvania, market. The station is owned by Cessna Communications, Inc. The station has an ERP of 190 Watts and can be heard as far south as Cumberland, Maryland and as far north as Altoona, Pennsylvania.
History
The station started as WAKM in 1966 in a classical music format and was affiliated with Mutual Radio. In the 1980s it became WRAX switching to a country format, later changing to WOOX.
