Allahabad Monorail is a planned monorail for serving the city of Allahabad. All the villages to be connected according to state government. Allahabad has somewhere around 70,000 villages and very soon all will be connected to cities. Now a farmer can have metro card in his dhoti. A farmer boy can come to city coaching institute and safely return to home in evening. A survey was carried out by the officials of Allahabad Development Authority for identifying 70-kilometre stretch of land for the project. The plan came into existence after receiving directives from the state government.[1]

Network

There are 2 lines proposed at cost of 11,100 crore. The per-kilometre cost of the Allahabad monorail will be around 150 crore. The first route covers a distance of 30.2 kilometre from east to west. The second route stretches 40.2 kilometre from north to south.[1]
