Bertiolo (Friulian: Bertiûl) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2006, it had a population of 2,555 and an area of 26.2 square kilometres (10.1 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Bertiolo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Virco, Pozzecco, and Sterpo.
Bertiolo borders the following municipalities: Codroipo, Lestizza, Rivignano, Talmassons, Varmo.
