Buttrio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 10 kilometres (6 mi) southeast of Udine.
Buttrio borders the following municipalities: Manzano, Pavia di Udine, Pradamano, Premariacco.
The headquarters of the multinational company Danieli SpA, the largest supplier of equipment and plants to the metal industry in the world, are located in Buttrio.
