Conghua District, is a district of Guangzhou in central Guangdong province, People's Republic of China. Conghua[1] connects the Pearl River Delta with the mountainous area in the North of Guangdong province. It is known for hot springs [2] and lychees.[3] On 12 February 2014, It was upgraded from a county-level city to a district under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou.[4]

It covers an area of 1,984 km2 (766 sq mi), with a population of 600,000. Its GDP is RMB10.369 billion (US$2,360 per person).
