Emil Kaminsky (9 October 1917 – 5 July 1944) was a Oberfeldwebel in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.

Military career

Kaminsky was conscripted into Infantry Regiment 53 of the 14th Infantry Division on 1 October 1936. In August 1939, he was transferred to the 9th company of Infantry Regiment 455 of the 255th Infantry Division. He fought in the Battle of France and was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) on 23 June 1940.
