Ernakulam–Duronto is a weekly non-stop superfast train which runs between Kochi, and the national capital New Delhi.[1] It runs through the scenic Konkan Railway. This is the first Duronto express to Kerala and the longest running Duronto express in Indian Railways. It is the longest non-stop train services by distance in the entire world.
Frequency
This train runs once in a week. Train no: 12283 departs Ernakulam Junction on Tuesdays at 23:30 and reaches Hazrat Nizamuddin on Thursdays at 19:30. In the return journey, train no: 12284 departs Hazrat Nizamuddin on Saturdays at 21:35 and reaches Ernakulam Junction on Mondays at 15:30. It covers a distance of 2943 kilometres in each direction and takes 41 hours 55 minutes towards Ernakulam and takes 44 hours towards H.Nizamudin.
Traction
It is hauled by WAP 5 of Vadodara or Ghaziabad Shed from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Vadodara Junction after which a WDM 3A of Ernakulam Shed would take the train from Vadodara Junction to Ernakulam Junction.
