Fluoroacetyl-CoA thioesterase
Fluoroacetyl-CoA thioesterase (EC 3.1.2.29) is an enzyme with systematic name fluoroacetyl-CoA hydrolase.[1][2][3] This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction
- fluoroacetyl-CoA + H2O fluoroacetate + CoA
Fluoroacetate is extremely toxic.
