List of 2012 Summer Olympics medal winners
The 2012 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad, were held in London, United Kingdom, from 25 July 2012 to 12 August 2012.
Approximately 10,500 athletes participated in 302 events in 26 sports.[1] Bahrain,[2] Botswana,[3] Cyprus,[4] Gabon,[5] Grenada,[6] Guatemala[7] and Montenegro[8] each won their first Olympic medal ever, with Grenada's being gold.

Medal winner changes
^ A. Belarusian athlete Nadzeya Ostapchuk, who won a gold medal in women's shot put was stripped of her medal on 13 August 2012 after a urine sample testing positive for the steroid metenolone. New Zealander Valerie Adams has been awarded gold, Russian athlete Yevgeniya Kolodko was awarded silver and Chinese athlete Gong Lijiao was awarded bronze.[11]
