The North Dallas Vandals was a franchise in the American Basketball Association that began playing in 2010. The Vandals played in Dallas, Texas. The team was owned by Casey Topletz and were coached by Tyler Gatlin.[2] The Vandals competed in the Southwest Division through the 2013-14 ABA season.

History

The Vandals' inaugural season ended with a record of 12-7, losing in the second round of the Southwest division tournament to the Dallas Impact 116-123. The Vandals could not keep up their regular season winning ways against the Impact, going 4-1 against their cross-town rivals over the course of the campaign.

The Vandals also saw their first All-Star, as former Southern Methodist University standout Devon Pearson got the call to the Western Conference Squad. Pearson averaged a gaudy 23.3 points and 11.9 rebounds for the season, appearing in 12 games and starting 8.

History was also made when the Vandals suited up female basketball player Kavita Goss, making her the first female player in the ABA. Another notable appearance included Marc D of the hip-hop trio the GS Boyz, known for their hit single, "Stanky Legg".
