Promestriene (INN) (brand names Colpotrofin, Colpotrophine, Delipoderm) is a synthetic estrogen and glucocorticoid used topically in a 1% cream formulation.[1][2][3][4] It is described as a tropic agent and antiseborrheic.[1] It has not been found to be effective in the treatment of androgenic alopecia or other conditions of cutaneous androgenization.[5][6]
