Public TV (ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಟಿವಿ) is a 24-hour Kannada language news television channel which was launched on 26 January 2012. It went live on 12 Feb 2012. The channel owned by Writemen Media Pvt. Ltd., which headquarters also located in TTMC Building, BMTC, Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. Writemen Media Pvt. Ltd., also launched PUBLiC TV sister Channel PUBLiC Music in the year 2014.

History

PUBLiC TV is a brainchild of veteran Kannada journalist H R Ranganath. He teamed up with young team of enthusiasts to launch this channel. Many of this team are new to journalism, though it achieved many feats within a short period. It became very popular among Kannada viewers.

Programmes

PUBLiC TV airs famous news bulletins in Kannada, BIG BULLETIN, News Cafe, Bengaluru Today and PUBLiC News.It also airs special daily programmes Zindagi, Chow Chow Bath, PUBLiC Special, Checkbandi, Cini Adda and Special Time. Some of weekly programmes are Hotseat, Naanu Nanna Styelu, Mudra Rahasya.

The new concept launched by Public TV to help Public's and making sound all over Karnataka is Belaku which is hosting by H.R Ranganath. The Karnataka peoples are also joined there hands to support all category human beings.

PUBLiC TV organised Namma Cinema, Namma Haadu to commemorate 100 Years of Indian Cinema.
