Shaquille Olajuwon "Shaq" Mason (born August 28, 1993) is an American football offensive guard for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Mason played at Georgia Tech from 2011 to 2014^[1] and was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 2015 NFL Draft.

College Career

Mason played 11 games as a true freshman in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, he started in 39 of the Yellow Jackets' 41 games, including every game as a junior and senior.^[2]

Professional career

On May 2, 2015 Mason was selected in the 4th round (131st overall) by the New England Patriots.^[3] Mason established himself in the three-man rotation at guard, starting at right guard in three games.^[4] He missed weeks 7 and 8 with an injury.
