Vrbovec is a village and municipality (obec) in Znojmo District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 19.56 square kilometres (7.55 sq mi), and has a population of 1,097 (as at 28 August 2006).
Vrbovec lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of Znojmo, 59 km (37 mi) south-west of Brno, and 189 km (117 mi) south-east of Prague.
