It forms a city municipal corporation council electoral constituency and is a part of Behala Paschim (Vidhan Sabha constituency).[1]

The boundaries of the ward are: Sahapur Sitalatala Road, Rajani Mukherjee Road and S.N.Roy Road are in the north. Buroshibtala Main Road is in the east. Roy Bahadur A.C.Roy Road is in the south. Buroshibtala Main Road is in the west.[2]
