Aruppukkottai Railway Station (Tamil: அருப்புக்கோட்டை ரயில் நிலையம்) is located in Aruppukkottai, Tamil Nadu connecting Manamadurai and Virudhunagar.
Overview
Aruppukottai Station
The station falling on Manamadurai–Virudhunagar line serving the Aruppukottai town was opened by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K. Kamaraj.[1] It connects southern districts to delta districts. A proposed new route from Madurai - Thoothukudi via this station is under survey, which would make the station become a junction.[2]
Services
The trains passing through these stations are Karaikudi - Virudhunagar - Karaikudi DEMU (T.No.76837/76838) and Kanyakumari - Puducherry Exp.[3]
