Joe A. Palmer is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2008 representing District 20 in the A seat.[1][2]
Early life and career
Palmer attended Ricks College (since renamed Brigham Young University–Idaho), and later completed his degree at Boise State University.[3]
Elections
- 2012 Palmer won the three-way May 15, 2012, Republican primary with 1,630 votes (65.9%) against Richard Dees and Chris MacCloud; he faces Democratic nominee Caitlin Lister[4] in the November 6, 2012, general election.
- 2008 When Republican Representative Mark A. Snodgrass left the seat open in his unsuccessful bid to unseat incumbent Republican Senator Shirley McKague, Palmer won the May 27, 2008 Republican primary by 46 votes, winning with 1,725 votes (50.7%) against Keith Bird;[5] he won the November 4, 2008, general election with 14,732 votes (77.3%) against Libertarian Rex Kerr.[6]
- 2010 Palmer won the May 25, 2012, Republican primary with 2,445 votes (54%) against Shaun Wardle,[7] and was unopposed in the November 2, 2010, general election, winning with 11,829 votes.[8]
