Stephen Hartgen is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2008 representing District 23 in the B seat.[1][2] Hartgen is the son of artist Vincent Andrew Hartgen.

Education and career

Hartgen earned his bachelor's degree in history from Amherst College, his master's in American history from Brandeis University, and his doctorate in American history from the University of Minnesota. Hartgen is a business consultant and a former editor and publisher of the Times-News.
