Terry F. Gestrin (born in Cascade, Idaho)[1] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2012 representing District 8 in the A seat.[2]
Education
Gestrin earned his BBA in finance from Idaho State University.
Elections
- 2012 With Republican Senator Sheryl Nuxoll redistricted to District 7, Gestrin challenged Republican Representative Steven Thayn for the district's senate seat, and came in third in the three-way May 15, 2012 Republican Primary;[3] Thayn went on to win the seat. District 8A Representative Ken Roberts, who had won the 8A primary, was appointed to the Idaho Tax Commission, and Gestrin was appointed by Idaho Governor Butch Otter as his replacement;[4] Gestrin replaced Roberts on the November 6, 2012 General election ballot, and won with 13,894 votes (65.2%) against Democratic nominee Karla Miller.[5]
