KBBF (89.1 FM) is a community radio station broadcasting a varied mix of programming including Latino music such as Spanish Contemporary and Regional Mexican and spoken-word formats such as Educational and Talk Radio programs as well as other music genres such as Caribbean music, American Oldies, Jazz and even Classical music. Some programs are bilingual, others are in Spanish, English or indigenous languages of Mexico. Licensed to Calistoga, California, USA with studios in Santa Rosa, California, the station is currently owned by Bilingual Broadcasting Foundation, Inc. This is the first bilingual (Spanish-English), non-commercial radio station in the United States. BBFI was founded in 1971 and KBBF went on the air in 1973.
