Location

Downtown MRT Station (DT17) is the name for an underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Downtown Line Stage 1 in Singapore. It connects the southern part of Marina Bay where developments such as The Sail @ Marina Bay and the Marina Bay Financial Centre lie to the current CBD. The station will serve future commercial developments within the Marina Bay vicinity, and is located under Central Boulevard.[1]

Illustrations on the walls of the station titled, "Leaves" by Jason Lim shows a connection of dense cell network of bamboo leaves and the business and financial services in the vicinity.[2]

Cladding works on going at the entrance as of May 2012.
