Visa policy of North Korea
Visitors to North Korea must obtain a visa from one of the North Korean diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.[1]
Visa exemption
Citizens of the following countries can visit North Korea on a normal passport without a visa for up to 1 month (30 days):
Chinese tourists may visit Tongnim County without a visa for 2 days.[4] They may also visit Sinuiju for a day trip without a visa.[5]
All visitors traveling for tourism require an authorization from a North Korean travel agency.
Additionally holders of diplomatic or service passports issued to nationals of the following countries can visit North Korea without a visa:
