Awadh Centre Of Education (ACE) is the main campus to the Awadh Group of Institutions is located at Awadh Bhawan FC-31, Institutional Area, Sheikh Sarai-II, New Delhi, India.[1] It has a campus spread over 2 acres of land. The college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University under the name of Comm-IT Career Academy for BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications), Institute of Vocational Studies for B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) and Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine & Allied Sciences for BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy).[2][3]

History

Awadh Centre of Education was established in 1995, to improve quality standards of education to all whether they are socially backward or belongs to minority communities in particular. In 1999 the college started Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine & Allied Sciences (IRMAS) followed by COMM-IT Career Academy (COMM-IT) in 2000 and Institute of Vocational Studies (IVS) in 2003–04.[4]

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) is a three-year undergraduate programme divided into 6 semesters, the college intake 60 students each year as per as the norms of its affiliate University Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. The college is affiliated to GGSIPU since 2000 under the name of Comm-IT Career Academy (COMM-IT).[5] COMM-IT Career Academy has been ranked to 22nd best BCA college in Delhi under IPU affiliations by ISCL Accreditation.[6]

Institute of Vocational Studies

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education)

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) is an undergraduate 1-year professional degree programme which prepares students for work as a teacher in schools.[7] The institute is recognized by National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), Government of India and approved by Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The institute is affiliated to GGSIPU under the name of Institute of Vocational Studies[8] and nationally accredited with "A" Grade by NAAC in 2011.[9]

ETE (Elementary Teacher Education) is the two-year diploma in elementary teacher education.

Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine & Allied Sciences

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) is a 4.5-year undergraduate programme offered in the field of Physiotherapy. Since 1999 it is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi under the name of Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine & Allied Sciences.[10]
