Eric R. Anderson (born May 31, 1956 in Spokane, Washington)[1] is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2004 representing District 1 in the A seat.[2]
Education
Anderson earned his bachelor's degree in political science and government from Eastern Washington University.
Elections
- 2012 Anderson won the three-way May 15, 2012, Republican primary with 4,090 votes (63.9%), facing Democratic nominee Andrew Sorg[3] for the general election on November 6, 2012.
- 2004 When Republican Representative John L. Campbell left the District 1 A seat open, Anderson was unopposed for the May 25, 2004, Republican primary, winning with 3,392 votes;[4] Anderson won the three-party November 2, 2004, general election with 8,399 votes (50.2%) against Democratic nominee Steve Elgar and Libertarian nominee Frank Reichert.[5]
- 2006 Unopposed for the May 23, 2006, Republican primary, Anderson won with 3,369 votes; Elgar was unopposed in the Democratic primary, setting up a rematch.[6] Anderson won the November 7, 2006, general election with 6,869 votes (50.87%) against Elgar.[7]
- 2008 Anderson won the May 27, 2008, Republican primary with 3,225 votes (70.9%) against Daniel Lawrence; Elgar was unopposed in the Democratic primary, setting up their third contest.[8] Anderson won the November 4, 2008, general election with 10,030 votes (54.4%) against Elgar.[9]
- 2010 Anderson was unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Republican primary, winning with 4,418 votes,[10] and was unopposed for the November 2, 2010, general election, winning with 10,978 votes.[11]
