Ganga Sagar Express
Ganga Sagar express is a normal mail/express type train operated by Indian Railways and connecting Kolkata with Jainagar in Bihar state. It covers a distance of 624 Kilometers at an average speed of 43 Kmph, and is hauled by WDM 3A class locomotives. It includes coaches of general, AC two tier, AC three tier, and sleeper class, but does not include a pantry car. All the car classes except general require reservations. The Tatkal scheme is available.
The train leaves Sealdah at 15:40 daily, arriving at Jainagar at 07:55 on the following day, and leaves Jainagar at 16:05 to arrive at Sealdah at 06:55 the following day.[1]
