Miss Bénin is the national beauty pageant in Benin.
History
Miss Bénin was founded for the first time in 1962. Since that year Miss Benin was named as Miss Dahomey (an African kingdom which lasted from about 1600 until 1900).[1] The country competed at Miss Universe 1962 in Miami, Florida, United States.[2] Nowadays, the winner of the local pageant will be naming as Miss Benin.
Titleholders
The winner of Miss Bénin represents her country as Beninese ambassador to promote Benin's National Tourism and Culture. No more pageants to join for Benin after withdrawing at Miss Universe 1963 and Benin has only one an official candidate in 1962 at Miss Universe history.
