Miss Universe Ireland is a national beauty pageant that has selected Ireland's representative to the Miss Universe pageant since 2002. Its national director is Andrea Roche, a former Miss Ireland who has also represented Ireland at Miss Universe 1998 and placed ninth overall.
History
In 2002, Andrea Roche Model Agency was awarded the rights to host the Miss Universe Ireland pageant and to send an Irish representative to compete at Miss Universe. This came in 2003 after the Miss Ireland Organisation changed owners and dropped the license of Miss Universe. Since then the organisation has been sending the Republic of Ireland's representative to the international beauty pageant.
Since Ireland's debut in Miss Universe 1961, it has yet to produce an Irish Miss Universe.
In 2007 and 2013, there was no Miss Universe Ireland pageant. Due to rescheduling the pageant to the following year. At 2007, It is the first time that Ireland will withdrew from the pageant. In 2013, Ireland also withdrew from the pageant. So it's two years that Ireland is withdrewing from the pageant.

The winner of Miss Universe Ireland represents her country at Miss Universe. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age) for either contest, a runner-up is sent. Before creating of Miss Universe Ireland, the winner of Miss Ireland will be competing at the pageant respectively.

Notes
- In 2007 for the first time the Miss Universe Ireland pageant was not held.
- In 2010 Rozanna Purcell was offered a contract with Trump Model Management after the Miss Universe 2010 competition ended, and was offered additional contracts in Mexico and Colombia.[1] She was then invited to judge at the Miss Venezuela 2010 pageant.
- In 2013 the official national pageant was rescheduled for the following year therefore no pageant in 2013.
