Miss Universe Sri Lanka (formerly Miss Ceylon or Miss Universe Ceylon) is a national pageant in Sri Lanka to choose ambassador for the Miss Universe pageant.
History
Sri Lanka debut in 1957 at Miss Universe pageant. Previously the country named as Ceylon for competing at the pageant in 1957 to 1972. Nowadays, the official name for the country named as Sri Lanka. Miss Sri Lanka pageant became national franchise for Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Asia Pacific International pageants.
In 1996 Miss Sri Lanka did not exist until 2004, due to financial problems and nobody organized the local pageant.
In 2005 the pageant renamed as Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant and the winner would be representing Sri Lanka at Miss Universe pageant and runner-up for Miss International pageant. Sometimes for the winner can also compete at Miss International or the name of title at the same contest will be renaming as Miss International Sri Lanka.

- Miss Sri Lanka 1973: Shiranthi Rajapaksa is the wife of the sixth President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa
- Miss Sri Lanka 1985: Bartholomeusz died on June 30 in 1987 at the age of 20 when she allegedly jumped out of the car while Kamal Addararachchi was driving it after a dispute. Exact details are unknown.
- Miss Sri Lanka 2008: Faith Landers did not compete at the Miss Universe 2009 due to lack sponsorship. She only competed at Miss International 2008 in Macau.
