Phil Hart is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2004 representing District 3 in the B seat.[1][2]
Education
Hart earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Utah and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Elections
- 2012 Redistricted to 2B, Hart lost the four-way May 15, 2012, Republican primary to Ed Morse, who faces Democratic nominee Dan English[3] for the general election on November 6, 2012.
- 2002 When Republican Representative Kristina Ellis was re-districted to District 4, Hart ran as the Constitution Party nominee, but lost the November 5, 2002, general election to Republican Wayne R. Meyer.[4]
- 2004 Hart challenged Meyer in the May 25, 2004, Republican primary, winning with 2,483 votes (60.25%)[5] and in the November 2, 2004, general election defeated Meyer again, as a write-in candidate, with 13,315 votes (91.0%).[6]
- 2006 Hart won the May 23, 2006, Republican primary with 2,645 votes (57.0%), again against Meyer,[7] and was unopposed for the November 7, 2006, general election, winning with 9,751 votes.[8]
- 2008 Hart won the May 27, 2008, Republican primary with 2,714 votes against David Rawls,[9] and was unopposed for the November 4, 2008, general election, winning with 16,762 votes.[10]
- 2010 Unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Republican primary, Hart won with 4,329 votes,[11] and won the November 2, 2010, general election with 9,170 votes (80.1%) against write-in candidate Howard Griffiths.[12]
